Just over 12 months since we crossed the Arctic Circle in the North West Territories of northern Canada we find ourselves 7400kms further South (as the crow files) on the Equator Line, here in beautiful Ecuador.

It’s day 452 on the road and we’ve now driven over 50,000kms since leaving Los Angeles to head up the West coast of the US and Canada, into Alaska and on to the Arctic Ocean via the Dempster Highway in Canada’s North West Territories, across the plains of Canada to Newfoundland, down the East coast of the US and then through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Colombia.

We shipped Iggy from Guatemala to Colombia as right hand drive vehicles aren’t permitted in several Central American countries.

Looking forward to a few weeks exploring Ecuador before we continue our journey south and into Peru.
