2019-2020 Round the World
Our planned Central and South America itinerary was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic
Our 12 month expedition started in Vladivostok, Russia Federation, on 23 July 2019. We took 6 months to travel across Northern and Central Asia and Europe.
From there we rested and toured for a month in UK and Ireland before shipping Disco to New York for a trip down the Eastern seaboard of the US, at which point the Coronavirus pandemic impacted our plans. In March 2020 we paused our travels in Lafayette, Louisiana to monitor the initial response in the US.
After sheltering in place in both Louisiana and Texas it became clear that repatriation to Australia was the prudent course of action.
We pulled the lever and returned the car to Sydney from San Francisco in May 2020.
